Dental Implants at Montgomery Dental Care

Dental implants are currently the best way of replacing missing teeth.

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants replace lost teeth with a cylinder of titanium, this is implanted into the jaw bone and fuses to your bone, providing strength and stability for your replacement. The implant can then be used to fit Crowns, Bridges and dentures. Single or multiple implants can be used to replace any tooth, teeth or full arches that are missing. Implants will provide you with the function and appearance of natural teeth. They need to be kept clean like natural teeth to maintain healthy gums and will last for many years.

Implants have developed in Dentistry and have become a very successful treatment over the last 40 years.

Am I suitable for Dental Implants?

If you have missing teeth, ask your dentist about the possible treatments. Ali Jitarayah provides free implant assessments and advice. Xrays will be needed to determine if there is enough bone present.

There must be enough bone in the area for implant placement, sometimes it is necessary to have a bone graft procedure. This consists of placing bone granules into the area and leaving your body to do the rest over a 3-6 months period. Then we can reassess the bone levels and place an implant when possible.

We will also need a full medical history, as certain medical conditions may affect the healing of the implant.

Implants have a success rate of 98% in cases on fit, healthy patients of all ages from 18-85.

How are Dental Implants placed?

The titanium Dental Implant is placed in the bone using simple local anaesthetic, the same as for most dental treatment. It is carried out using sterile conditions.

The procedure takes approximately 2hours for a 1 implant placement. We then have to wait between 3-6 months for the bone to attach itself onto the implant. We can then place the Crown, Bridge or Denture onto the implant.

How much to Dental Implants cost?

We charge according to each case. Simple single cases on a back tooth with no temporary replacement of teeth between stages may cost approximately £2000. A complex replacement of 2 front teeth involving a temporary replacement between stages may cost approximately £5000.

We will examine you and outline a plan and give you an appropriate assessment of costs for your requirements. Everyone’s treatment is different depending on their needs and the teeth which require replacement.
